SIG - a European supplier of insulation, roofing and commercial interiors - has moved into new headquarters at Sheffield Business Park.

The company purchased a 20,000 sq ft building, designed and built to the company's specifications by the business park.

Occupying a prominent position on the Europa View complex, the headquarters is home to some 90 staff who have transferred from SIG's established base at Hillsborough, which will continue to operate. The company, which recently reported half-yearly sales in excess of GBP1bn, chose the 200-acre site for its high-profile, strategic location.

Group property director John Ritchie said: "Sheffield Business Park offers excellent facilities for ourselves and our staff and sits right alongside the motorway network. "As our business continues to expand, this is exactly the sort of location we need for our headquarters activities." SIG's offices are close to the UK headquarters of Stanley Tools.
